Frisson: "The phenomenon of chills or goosebumps that come from a piece of music (or from any other aesthetic experience)”.
Inspired by Rora Blue’s The Unsent Project composed of over 5,000 unsent messages, Frisson is an interactive playlist composed of memories regarding a group or individual that is tied to a song. Crowdsourcing plays a major role in the theme of this project, which is shared emotions. Music is a universal language that people use to share emotions of happiness, sadness, anger, love, and more. As a group, our goal was to share the different emotions that people feel through music with others, and we were able to do just that.

My role specifically was to find a way to embed the Spotify playlist into the Figma elements. I also helped with sourcing, developing, choosing colour palettes, and testing wireframes/usability tests.

Design Brief
How can we create an interface that allows music listeners to view anonymous stories that connect to the song?
Problem
Many people listen to songs and relate them to memories or people. How can others see and hear the stories behind similar songs?
Our solution
Create an interactive interface that allows users to input songs and stories while also being able to listen to the songs and view the anonymous stories
Research/crowdsourcing
As our crowdsourcing strategy, we created a google form where users were asked to fill out, anonymously, their chosen song, artist, and emotion/memory. We used social media to promote our project, posting the link to the google form along with a captivating brief to catch people’s attention and build enticement. Our project was also shared on numerous discord servers, and we were able to gather nearly 100 participants! Our method was efficient and organized. It was easy to go through the data and find connections within our collected data.

Features
Adding song/story submissions:
Allows users to add submissions and stories. There is no limit!

Viewing playlist and access to the playlist:
Having Spotify built in, this allows the user to access the songs and playlist.

Emotions playlist:
Using the user submissions and playlist, users are able to filter out songs based on feelings/moods.
